Electronics Design Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test smart devices incorporating various sensors for data collection and analysis.
  • Proven expertise in microcontroller selection for embedded systems, including evaluation of performance specifications, peripherals, and compatibility with sensor integration.
  • Extensive experience in sensor selection, evaluating factors such as accuracy, precision, power consumption, and communication protocols to meet project requirements.
  • Proficiency in interfacing sensors with microcontrollers using standard communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, CAN and UART.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design and layout for sensor integration, utilizing software tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during product development, manufacturing, and post-production phases.
  • Stay current with emerging sensor technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement in smart device design.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and wireless communication protocols.
  • Prepare detailed documentation for electronic designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and programming code.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in electronics design, with a focus on developing smart devices.

Skills Expected:

  • Familiarity with wireless communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Lora and Zigbee, and their integration with sensor networks.
  • Expertise in Power Electronics design and a strong understanding of analog and digital circuits.
  • Familiar with oscilloscope, function generator and spectrum analyzer.
  • Hands on experience on soldering SMD/SMT components (up to 0603 and QFN packages).
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Proficient in PCB fabrication processes, manufacturing constraints, and IPC standards for PCB design.
