Electronics Design Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test smart devices incorporating various sensors for data collection and analysis.
- Proven expertise in microcontroller selection for embedded systems, including evaluation of performance specifications, peripherals, and compatibility with sensor integration.
- Extensive experience in sensor selection, evaluating factors such as accuracy, precision, power consumption, and communication protocols to meet project requirements.
- Proficiency in interfacing sensors with microcontrollers using standard communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, CAN and UART.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design and layout for sensor integration, utilizing software tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during product development, manufacturing, and post-production phases.
- Stay current with emerging sensor technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement in smart device design.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and wireless communication protocols.
- Prepare detailed documentation for electronic designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and programming code.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in electronics design, with a focus on developing smart devices.
Skills Expected:
- Familiarity with wireless communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Lora and Zigbee, and their integration with sensor networks.
- Expertise in Power Electronics design and a strong understanding of analog and digital circuits.
- Familiar with oscilloscope, function generator and spectrum analyzer.
- Hands on experience on soldering SMD/SMT components (up to 0603 and QFN packages).
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
- Proficient in PCB fabrication processes, manufacturing constraints, and IPC standards for PCB design.
